Re: Ezra Church Dead - Atlanta's Oakland Cemetery

Thanks to all who responded to my question. I have known about the book "Headstones For Heroes" for a number of years but just didn't make the connection with the Battle of Ezra Church. I have been motivated to order it.

I will check the roster of the 50th Alabama for G. E. Critz Lee. That may very well be the grave of George F. Critz. He was from Limestone County, Alabama. Very tragic story there. He was married to Harriet Toney in 1859 and she died in 1860 at the age of 20. Then he died four years later at Ezra Church. I got interested in him because he is mentioned a number of times in the diary of Joseph Miller Rand, Co. A 41st MS, which I continue to research. Harriet was Rand's first cousin.
