I'm doing family geneology research and in The Confederate Veteran Magazine in Vol. XVII, p.143, a gentleman is trying to locate someone to help with a vets pension application. But in this same topic he says that Mr. T.H. Talent 'was in Captain William Gordon's company, Baskin's battalion made up in Chickasaw county Mississippi and part of the reserve corps...'.
This Baskin gentleman is who I'm trying to trcak down but am having no luick. I've checked the OR books and can't find any reference to a Baskin's battalion. Does anyone have any further info or some other venue for me to search? Thanks for any help.
