If you can post the names of the people you're looking for and whatever you know about them,especially their residences in 1860, we can probably help you determine in what units your ancestors fought or provide some clues on where to look.

If you just want to search through all the Confederate soldiers in the states you've listed, you can go to the Civil War Soldiers and Sailors System at http://www.itd.nps.gov/cwss/ and search to your heart's content.
