John Tallon is enumerated in the June 1890 Veterans Census (Sarpy County, Nebraska).

He states his rank was 2nd. Sgt. of Company B/16th. Mississippi Infantry and enlisted in April/1861 serving for three years.

Company "B" (Westville Guards) was raised in Simpson County and was also comprised of men from Lawrence County. I was unable to place him in the 1860 Mississippi Census.
