I check the CWS&S and sure enough he is listed in the 38th Calvary. Only problem Mississippi unit history at http://www.mississippiscv.org/mississippi_history.htm says we did not have a calvary unit with that number designation. That being the case I believe he may have been in the 38th Infantry Regt. (MTD)
