Hello all, I am the 3rd Great Grandson of W.A. Hopkins. His grave marker in Lebanon,OK lists as Co. G 23 Miss. Vol., his Records indicate Co. B Anyone have any ideas as to the change. Possibly the re-formation of the 23rd after capture at Ft. Donelson ? He lived in Tishomingo, Miss at the time of his enlistment. The unit was enlisted in Tippah and the surrounding counties. Also does anyone have an image of the the 23rd's battle flag? Thanks
