Ms. Barnes,
My g-grandfather, Samuel I. Green, also served in the 24th Ms. Infantry. He was captured at Chattanooga, in close proximity to the flag of the 24th when it was captured. After a long captivity in Washington,D., all ( nearly all) of thr South's flags were returned, most of them to the Museum of the Confederacy in Richmond,Va. The 24th's flag is now in the Museum of the Confederacy, where it is being lovingly cared for.
As a descendant of a soldier of the 24th, I have been very interested in obtaining a print of the flag, and have one on order.
