Using your lead, I have confirmed that Charles Allen Stovall, b. 21 Nov 1830 in Carroll City, MS is the fellow I was checking on.
The "STOVALL" book I have indicates he never married and died sometime after 1865 in Callahan Co., TX
His father was Simeon Stovall, b. 1806 Lincoln City, GA
mother, Lousiana "Lucy" J, Jenkins, b. 1811 in LA.

Any chance Charels Allen Stovall was in confederate service?
His youngest brother, Henry Theodore Stovall is listed as CSA Vet.
and two other younger brothers:
Dr. William D Stovall, no service indicated
Seaborn T. Stovall, no service indicated
