I can read all but one of the words in the endorsement written by Brig. Gen. Humphreys. In no uncertain terms, the brigade commander makes his case for immediate acceptance of this officer's resignation. You may have guessed something like this from the wording of Martin's resignation. It's not uncommon at all.

It's a little over a hundred words and I don't mind posting it here unless you wish otherwise. Most of the evaluation by Humphreys concerns Martin's abilities (or lack thereof) as an officer rather than his personal character.
