Thank you for your kind words, and for all your help. I don't know for certain what hospital Lt. Harmon was in, although I did call Gettysburg, and they told me most of the wounded from the 42nd Mississippi were taken to either the McPherson Farm, the Samuel Lohr Farm, and to the Lutheran Seminary. I read where Camp Letterman was opened in mid-July, so thought perhaps Lt. Harmon was transferred there. I spoke with a gentleman recently who said he thought that Camp Letterman didn't open until July 24th of 1863, which would have been after the death of Lt. Harmon. I tend to believe, like you, that his remains are probably at Hollywood in Richmond, and were not identified.
