Who is Captain June Walls???

The city of Walls, Mississippi, was named in honor of Captain June Walls. Walls, Mississippi was originally named Alpika (Chickasaw word) and renamed to Walls in 1906. Captain Walls was a 'hero of the Civil War, was an early settler and merchant in the area in the 1880's.'

This is all I have been able to find out about him. I have learned that the name June for a man has turned out to a nickname for another name. As in my tree, 3 people with the first name of Bynum had the nickname of June. But then again, they were son, father, grandfather. However, I have not found a Bynum Wall or Walls.

I would appreciate any help or suggestions if anyone has any. I am really stumped on this one.
