My great grandfather served in the 1st Mississippi Company B. He enlisted in 1862 in Itawamba County and was discharged in 1865 at the end of the war. He spent about 2 1/2 years at Ft. Delaware Prison.

Joseph M. White died in 1913 in Oklahoma.
