I've seen this posted before but it's been awhile and hopefully some new sites have been created that y'all can direct me to. Does anyone know of a site that you can get records for Confederate Vets? I'm looking for records for a Philip (Phillip) Ellison that fought with Co. C, 24th MS INF. He was a Private. He is buried in NE Chilton County, AL. We are restoring the cemetery. We have tried some genealogy pay sites with no luck. I'm also posting this on the AL board.
