Do you have any additional information for this man? The only man listed in the Civil War Soldiers & Sailors System at http://www.itd.nps.gov/cwss/, with the name Calvin Miles, is a Union soldier in a Wisconsin regiment. There are several Miles with the initial "C." in Mississippi Confederate units, but if you know there date of birth, place of birth, residence in 1860, wife or siblings names, etc., it would be easier to determine who might be your man.

BTW, is any of your Hester family from the West Point, MS area? I lived in West Point as a kid and my brother had a close friend named Paul Hester.
