Re: Dead at Corinth

Thought I would come back and update the record. I learned last month that my ggg grandmother Price's baby brother who was named Michael Owen Guthrie with the 10th Arkansas, Co. D. was shot at Shiloh on the first day and was dead at Cornith by April 30th.
Poor man I am sure he was young and strong and it took him a long time to die.
I understand the situation and have no intention of trying to find where Owen was buried.
What I hope to do in the future is to erect one of those
govenment Civil War markers in his honor in a cemetery that some of his kin were buried in. I believe it is possible to do such. I will also need one for his brother, Frederick Guthrie, 10th Arkansas who died in prison.
When I found out about the Guthrie brothers, it just touched my heart to know that even more of the family was lost than I realized.
