In Response To: Hinds' Mississippi Dragoons ()

According to the book Mississippi Territory in the War of 1812, Hind's Dragoons are discribed at the Battle of Pensacola, Nov. 1814, just prior to the Battle of New Orleans as...

...blue uniforms, faced with scarlet, and sabres slung within white belts. These were all men of the upper class so they probably looked the part. They also were armed with rifles and dragoon pistols.

The uniform discribed sounds like the 1810 Light Dragoon Uniform regulations.
