You may already know this, but James Henry Jones had a younger brother killed during the siege of Vicksburg - he is buried in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Vicksburg. He also had his two other brothers killed in the battle of Harrisburg on July 14, 1864. Jones survived the battle, although he was badly wounded - he took canister shot to both legs. If you have never read it, Jones article, "The Rank and File at Vicksburg" in the Publications of the Mississippi Historical Society, I believe Vol. 8, is an excellent account of the siege of Vicksburg by a lower level officer.
