Do you remember where you found this in the O.R.? I vaguely remember running across this information before, but it seems like it turned out to be the *other* Bledsoe.
FWIW, Bledsoe had four cannon at Iuka according to Cozzens. At some point during the day, some federal skirmishers in that sector came away with one "James Rifle" (probably a rifled bronze six pounder), and Cozzens doesn't speculate as to which battery it was taken from. However, just six months later, Bledsoe is down to three cannons ... so if I had to guess, I'd say Bledsoe had some mixture of rifled and smoothbore bronze six pounders.
