2nd MS Cavalry - Ezra Church

Hi Bret,

I'm going to post this message to you, but I hope others will respond. You have posted in the past with information on the battle of Ezra Church and especially the participation of the Confederate Cavalry. I've just discovered, by obtaining one of my wife's gg-uncles CMSR's that he was wounded at the Battle of Ezra Church as a member of Armstrong's Cavalry Brigade. He was a Captain William A. Rogers of Company C of the 2nd Mississippi Cavalry (aka, 4th & 42nd). I have read briefly in Albert Castel's "Decision in the West" of the losses of Armstrong's brigade at Ezra Church, but I'm hoping you or others might give me a few more details. Are there any good detailed accounts of this battle and specifically the participation of the Confederate cavalry. From the losses incurred, abt. 150, it sounds like Armstrong's Cavalry Brigade played a significant part and suffered heavy losses.
