This man served in Company "B", 26th Alabama Regiment. Officers and men came from Fayette and Marion Counties and called themselves the "Fayette and Marion Plowboys".

Copies of Bounds' service record as well as his widow's pension application from Tishomingo County MS are available here. The service record will contain particulars about his military career, while the pension was based on what the widow remembered forty-five years later.
