george, wgat is written in the old family bible, states he was taken to his mothers residence and given a soldiers funeral. according to the info i have, his parents had just purchased property out in holmesville, ms. will contact joy mcnalley, one of my new cousins. i think she knows where the homesite is, but according to her, they wont allow anyone on site to look for grave. by the way, two of my new camp members had ancestors in the 7th as well. pvt. james davis, company f, marions men. died in jonesboro i think. not sure of were he is buried. their names are james and thomas guy from franklinton, la.
