I have a report that General Sherman met his wife and family at the Bovina? Station (Big Black) on 14 Aug 1863 and they visited for 6 weeks. I have another report that the RR from Clinton was closed and not reopened since the war until Oct 65. Was the RR between Bovina-Clinton ever closed for an extended period some time after Aug 63 and not reopened until Oct 65?
