Re: Additional Mississippians buried in GA

I am looking for the burial of my ancester, William J Williams, who may have been buried in Georgia. He is one of two persons with this name who were with Company F, 41st Mississippi Infantry (Pontotoc Grays) under Col. W. F. Tucker and Capt. S. E. Nelson. He enlisted in 1861 according to information that has passed down through the family. His home was in Chicasaw Count, Mississippi, in the Red Lands community. My ancestor was the older of the two whose wife was Mary Jean and he was the father of five daughters when he enlisted. We think he would have been in his thirties.

The other man of the same name would have been 24 years old in 1860 according to the Pontotoc County census and his wife was Ruthy, age 17, according to the census data. This second man, not my ancestor, "Died at Atlanta of Disease 26 March 1863". He enlisted 10 February 1862 and his card numbers are:
47862569
47826915
47862870
47862922
47863023
47863120 (?)(some numbers are difficult to read)
47836556

I do not have the data on my gggrandfather but I thought that if you find information on the two that you would be able to tell which was my ancestor by eliminating the younger man. His information was sent to me when I requested and paid for information on my ancestor.
