I have started some research of Henry Campbell and I have POW data that indicates he was in Co. B, Power's Regiment of the Ms and LA Calvary, which afterwards became the 23rd Batt MS Cav. I'm a little confused about your reference to the 4th MS Cav. Can you explain?

My GGGrandfather was Stephen Monroe Campbell, who did serve with Hugh's Batt, 4th MS Cav. I'll have to look, but I think Henry was a brother to SM Campbell. All the info I have does not indicate that Power's Regiment was part of the 4th MS Cav, but since they both were related, it makes some sense that they both could have enlisted and served in the same regiment. Henry was evidently captured near Natchez, MS and imprisoned about a year before being exchanged and then furloughed due to illness.

Any help you can give is appreciated.
