Hello Maragaret,

I know Uriah Price was in the 7th Mississpi Infantry. However, I did not know that he was also in Hoskin's Light artillery. I have been to Lincoln county Miss and if Uriah appears there on the census before the war and then in Hoskin's it could likely be the same person. I don't have proof of this though. Do you know who his parents are ? My ancestors mother was a Catherine Price and he is also in the 7th Mississippi. His name is Jasper Newman. Jasper did not stay in the 7th Miss, he left and went with the 21rst Miss, in co. C known as Steven's Rifles for the war in Virginia. His father is my great great great uncle Benjamin Newman.
