MS soldiers who died in England

I recently found a family tree that has my John Scott born 1824 AL and says he died in 1864 in Warwickshire, England. I was shocked. Then I found information online that tells there were many Confederates in that area during the war. Can anyone help me find more information about this strange possiblility? There was a Nelson Clements mentioned in the information online. He was a buyer for the war and was from Texas. I thought he might have been related to my John Scott's brother-in-law Leroy Clements who lived beside John in Pontotoc, MS in 1860. I thought maybe somehow my John Scott did go to England with this Nelson Clements. Is there any way I can find out? I have not been able to find military records for my John Scott for certain.
