Thank you for the information but I really need documentation. I know about John M. Campbell but have no proof that he was called "Doc". Did Mr. Browning sent documentation of any kind to back up his statement? I was told by someone else that his name was Colin C. but once again they couldn't tell me where that came from.

Givens Horne's middle name was Masterson. Richard was his father, Matie F. was his stepmother. He actually had 2 sisters, 2 full brothers and 2 half brothers. Givens moved back to Kentucky after the war and became a teacher. Richard (father of Givens)had a sister that married a Campbell, this is the connection I'm trying to make with Doc Campbell.
