Bruce-- Please feel free to use the quote any time. It, like alleged recantations of rebellion, are in the public domain. Incidentally, Stanley Cook has the peg leg worn by Andrew Jackson Cook after he was shot near his home east of California by federal troopers following the incidents along the Pacific Railroad. By my understanding, he was fleeing on foot when a Yankee tried to shoot him in the back. Luckily, at that moment he jumped a rail fence, causing the ball to strike low. Although the Yankees left him for dead, he lost only his leg. No admissions are made in this story about any shooting at trains. I don't know if this story is accurate, but I sure do like it. John
