Harvey: I have never heard of a Missouri cavalry regiment known by either of those names. If he was wounded at Lone Jack, perhaps he served in Col. J. Vard Cockrell's recruit command. That is as close as I can get.

I note in Eakin's MO Prisoners of War, that he is listed as a "recruit" at the time of his capture. The same source indicates that he was exchanged, although it gives no date or place of where that occurred.
