Cocason or Corcoran's Regiment, Missouri Cavalry

Hello,

I am researching my gguncle, Thomas R. Duncan, who served (according to his Mil file and the "Soldier and Sailor System) in "Cocason's Regt. Missouri Cavalry (Miscellaneous File) and /or Corcoran's Regiment, Missouri Cavalry, during the early part of the war.

According to Mil records, he was wounded at Lone Jack, and captured on Oct 15, 1862, in Benton Co, MO., and sent to Gratiot Street Prison.

Then, according to a letter from a cousin, (Also in prison at Gratiot St Prison) transferred to Ft Delaware... From here he falls off the map.

Has anyone ever heard of these Cav Regiments? Or know of wher I might be able to find information? - MO regiments have been very difficult to research from Tennessee.

Thanks!

Harvey
