Ironton MO - 10/13/1864

My gggrandfather was with Monroe's Cavalry out of AR. They were with Price when he raided MO. He was captured at Ironton MO on 10/13/1864 and placed in military prison. In Nov 1864 he was in the hospital and then sent to Point Lookout in Feb 1865 to be released.

I have read the Price papers several times and everything else I can find about the excursions into MO and can find nothing written about that day. The records skip from the 11th to the 14th or 15th. Does anyone have a clue about where I can find more information about that particular date and what he may have been doing?
