I believe that he purchased 40 Acres in Carroll Co Ark in Nov 1892 as described 1 SWNE 5TH PM No 18N 24W 6. He is listed as living in Omega Twsp, Carroll County Arkansas with spouse Mary E and several children in both th 1900 and 1910 census. Chldren in the 1900 listing are: Almanda J Burks 17, Cora Burks 13, Dora Burks 10, David V Burks 7.
