Could someone with access to an index of Confederate soldiers who served from the State of Missouri tell me which unit a R. [Reuben] M. Wash may have served.

He relocated post war to Nevada and in the 1890 Federal Veterans Census he recorded himself as having served in Co. C, 22nd Mo. Infantry, serviving from April 1, 1861 to February 1, 1864.

I can not find him in the 22nd in either the CW Data Base or in the NPS Soldiers and Sailors System.

Instead, I find a Reuben Wash who served in Co. E of the 8th Battalion Missouri Infantry and also in Co. I of the 9th Missouri Infantry.

He died in Reno in 1905.
