Re: Where is Jim Anderson's grave?

There has long been the story that George Shepherd killed Jim Anderson on the "courthouse steps" in Texas. I recently read an account in a Liberty, Missouri newspaper that said it was the "brother of Dave Poole" who killed Jim Anderson in Texas. This might have been John Poole who did reside in Texas. The approximate year of Jim's death was 1868-1869.
What bothers me is where did that picture of Jim Anderson with a ball and chain around his ankle come from. Is this a 'gag photo'?
I would think the best place to start to look for this Anderson's grave would be Texas -- and more likley near or at a prison.
