I've made a decent search for Dr. Hendington as refered to in the article. The article is legit and the transcription is accurate. I can not however find a listing anywhere for a Dr. Hendington. The name is known but appears to be clustered with a family group in Fulton Co, Indiana. I can find no civil war service records information with the name Hendington CSA or Federal.

The closest surname matches ar Hinton and Huntington using soundex. Both were much more common names in the 1860s. I still cannot find a match.

Anyone else out there with some hints as to who (if at all) this group may have been?
