According to Joanne Chiles Eakin, Missouri Prisoners of War, no pagination,Wesley Faulkner was captured in Dunklin County, Missouri, on 12 March 1863. He was sent to the Myrtle St. Prison in St. Louis, transferred to Gratiot Prison, also in St. Louis, and then sent to the prison at Alton, ILL. In three different entries he is described as a "citizen," a "guerrilla," and also as a Private, in Clark's Regiment (predecessor to the 7th MO Cav Regt). I hope this helps some.
