FLETCH TAYLOR?

i am a bit confused.. not the first time but... i have read numerous times that fletch taylor had his own company of guerrillas in the summer of '64.. he operated with thrailkill and some others.. he then took a wound in the arm which required amputation.. he took up "bushwacking" again for a period after he recovered.. then was accidently shot in the other arm and decided to leave the region for good..
then i read in lesies book that some had seen taylor come back with shepherd , poole and the james boys when they made their last journey from texas to missouri in '65.. so.. was taylor back to guerrilla activity in '65 or did he "retire" as many have said in "64?.. anyone have any info..
