I would strongly suggest you contact the Pettis County Historical Society. As of a few years ago their mailing address was: Pettis County Historical Society, Sedalia Public Library, 311 West Third Street, Sedalia, MO 65301-4399. The society was actually located in the county courthouse, but received their mail at the library.
