Have always wondered why my gg- suddenly left Iron Co. in Mar. 1863; this after buying back his land from a local J.P. for ONE DOLLAR and then immediately selling it the same day (found docs in Iron County courthouse).

Hoping your books will help me understand the environment they lived in there in SE Missouri...!!!!
