Sorry, Bruce, nothing of interest in the Pflager letters or the LA Maclean papers regarding Wood. The papers deal primarily with various buttons donated to the Missouri Historical Society, as well as a widely reprinted image of Maclean, by the widow of Maclean's son. A newspaper clipping includes a brief homage to Maclean by a former Union officer, Richard C. Vaughan, who knew him in the antebellum years. The Pflager letters are largely personal and provide no substantive information on military movements, personnel, or unit organization. One letter leaves the impression that Wood's outfit was among the last to lay down their arms, and bitterly remarks on the collapse of morale following Price's disastrous raidin 1864.
