Glynda, maybe you can answer this then. Since your Stone County James Noble Anderson died in 1900, then who was the "Jim Anderson" that was killed by a sheriff's posse while rounding up those of John Wesley Hardin's gang in 1874? This posse was sent out immediately following the shooting and killing of Brown County deputy sheriff Charles M. Webb in Comanche which is just only about 30 miles from Colonel William C. Anderson's Salt Creek farm. A grandchild of Colonel Anderson has told me that "Pa (Bill) Anderson was either a first or second cousin to John Wesley Hardin".
