Thank you very much for this information. You have been very helpful. The William B. Ripley listed is, in all probability, Thaddeus's brother. William had a busy War - elected an officer in Wheat's Battalion, joined John Bowen's 1st Missouri Regiment, served on the C. S. Gunboats "General Bragg" and "Sumpter" at Memphis, TN and served in the Navy until November 1862; transferred to Dept of Trans-Mississippi until captured around August 1863 near Coldwater MS, exchanged December 1863; appointed adjutant of Camp of Prisoners, joined Harrison's Louisiana Cavalry and captured September 1864 and confined in Fort Warren until he June 12 1865.

The information that you provided helps fill in a little more information on these brothers in arms. Thank you once again.
