Newbie here with lots of questions. I know you all have lots of answers. Lurking for years, learned lots. So Hickman's Mill (Jackson Co., MO) was a military station ... don't know if that's the correct term ... at one point 2000+ soldiers were there. Q: where was this "camp" located? In a farmer's field that they got permission to use or did they simply take over like it or not? Can't find maps showing locations if there are such. Searched OR's.
