Re: Isaac P. Snedicore: Union Provost Marshal

According to the 1864 Missouri AG report Isaac D. Snedeker Feb 26, 1862 was a major and aide de camp "transferred to staff of Gov. Hall." Hall of course, the Lieutenant Governor under the Provisional Government, wasn't Governor until Gamble died Jan 30 (?) 1864 so that's a little confusing. A brief obituary for Isaac D. Snedecor from a San Diego newspaper calls him major and says he was on the governor's staff but his headstone only cites him as Capt, Co H, 1 Mo Prov En. Mil. He died in San Diego Feb 14, 1904 age 76. Tom Jones
