I agree with all that, just amazing how little attention has been paid to it. Are you suggesting "Widow Turner Farm Fight" as the name for this affair, I like it!

As relates to Harvey Brown, JEN and Brownlee put his death at the Widow Turner Farm fight. Eakin and Hale identify him as one of Anderson's and Rose Mary Lankford does as well. Bruce Nichols agrees with me that he was from Platte county but makes an argument he was killed at the Curry farm fight in Cooper county based on Eakin and Hale's entry. I think I trust the old adage documentation closest to the event is likely the most accurate. In that case, I trust JEN in naming him as killed September 23 1864 with Bissett and find no issue with him being with Bissett's company formed in Platte county. So I am comfortable with the fellow I described earlier. FWIW Clearly, Harvey Brown was NOT an alias for Hamp "Babe" Watts.
