Re: Emiziah Moser 8th Mo Cav. US

A lot of the Union graves from the cemetery in DeValls Bluff were moved to the National Cemetery in Little Rock Ark. Since Emeziah's name does not show up there, I figured he was still at DeValls Bluff. I traveled to DeValls Bluff to look for his grave. The older part of the cemetery there sits in a low area and was flooded out in a VERY bad flood in the 1920's. They said it knocked down a lot of headstones and floated a lot of coffins out of the ground. That older section of the cemetery is now overgrown to the point you cant find anything. I don't know how they will ever reclaim that section except by fire.
Also, according to his pension file, his wife died in 1869. Her name was Rachel Mahala Watkins. The Rachel Watkins that died in 1902 had a middle name of Mary. If you are interested, I have transcribed his letters back to his family that he wrote and have them on Ancestry.com.
