The Two Buck Lamptons

Looking for information on two Boone County Buck Lamptons, including how they are related (probably father and son, but that is speculation).

The elder Buck: William Henry Harrison Lampton, was born May 25, 1804 in Winchester, Clark County, Kentucky. Married to Mary Martha Patsy Fontaine (1811-1879), born in Kentucky. This Buck Lampton moved to Boone County, Missouri, where he was Boone Township constable, and slave auctioneer. He may have also been a deputy sheriff. This Buck Lampton presided at the last public whipping of slaves in Missouri on January 1, 1861.

The younger Buck: W.L. Lampton. Not sure what the initials are for, but one guess would be William L. Lampton. This one served in the Purcell Scounts, Company L, 1st N.E. Missouri Cavalry. Was wounded in the head in an unknown skirmish in Callaway County in October 1862. Not aware of his fate.
