Gentlemen, Robrin ?? Sankarin & Anthoney Kardis put together a list of Missouri's USCT for the St. Louis Library Geno. Sec. some years ago..........I have a read only file database of this so I could sort Randolph's men out of it to discover those who were part of my families history. Found several & some who died. What I didn't discover was records showing what owners were compensated, those that weren't: what about men that we rejected for service, even saw several men with the single words, "Drafted" and "Substitute" then no other info. Very interesting research. Died of Decease by the hundreds! Mustered in from around the state at Benton Barracks, which is where "Fairgrounds Park in STL is now. 1000 Missouri Confederate's had already die in and around STL as yankee POW's.......who knows how many civilian deaths close by to catch everything in the book and they brought these men from the country side after 2 years of war and set them down "RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE" of the(I'm at a lose for words because so many folks have there own word for)........I call it a death trap.........the powers to be wanted us all gone one way or another, this was just damn the bad luck attitude of northern racism. Tell me what you see?? You can post it or we can e-mail.....Neil
