Daniel L.Twyman, Private, Company I, Hunter’s Regiment Missouri Infantry,* enlisted August 1, 1862 at Van Buren by Captain Bradley for 3 years, wounded and captured in the battle of Helena July 4, 1863, admitted U. S. Military Hospital, Memphis, Tenn. August 1, 1863, gun shot wound in back, released November 8, 1863, received at Military Prison, Alton, Illinois November 12, 1863, admitted Post & Prison Hospital, Alton, Ill. December 3, Veroloid, returned to quarters December 10, released April 22, 1864 on Oath of Amnesty, his record contains a note from the Adjutant General, War Department with the Confederate Home of Missouri, Higginsville June 16, 1916

* This regiment was subsequently designated as the 11th Missouri Infantry,
