This appears to be the man. It has to do with Jesse and John Hanson McNeill of the MSG being captured by Col Merrill and the held for a time at the University in Columbla. Switzler arranged for them to receive favorable treatment while there and to visit friends in town during the day and return to their quarters at night. Thanks for your help!
